SuperSport United continued their unbeaten run in the Gauteng Monday League when they defeated National First Division side FC AK 3-0 last night.

The game took place at Eldorado Park.

Having won four games in succession in the Reserve League already, the Tshwane based team looks determined to win both Absa Premiership and Gauteng Monday League trophies-which is never a bad idea.

They are now on pole in the Gauteng Monday League with 12 points from four games. They are closely followed by Orlando Pirates who have seven points from the same number of games.

At the foot of the league are Mamelodi Sundowns who have only one point from three games.

Matsatsantsa have been in a free scoring mode having banged in 10 goals in four matches which has allowed them to get the results much needed.

Mamelodi Sundowns were also in action after missing a few games with players having gone away for Camp in Polokwane during the AFCON and played to a goalless draw against Soweto Giants Kaizer Chiefs.

Since its inception, the Reserve League has enabled a lot of the fringe players to get regular game time and match fitness.

In another game, Orlando Pirates beat Jomo Cosmos 2-1 in Johannesburg.

Other Monday league results were as follows:

University of Pretoria 0 Moroka Swallows1, Mamelodi Sundowns 0 Kaizer Chiefs 0, BidVest Wits 1 Atlie FC 1, FC AK 0 SuperSport United 3, Orlando Pirates 2 Jomo Cosmos 1,
