Ezenkosi search for elusive first win

Jomo Cosmos will go in search of their first win in the Absa Premiership this season when they host Platinum Stars at Sinaba Stadium on Saturday evening.

Cosmos are the only team in the top flight who have yet to win a league game. They drew 1-1 away to Black Leopards in midweek.

The Gauteng team have recorded three draws and three losses from their six home matches so far this season.

Ezenkosi are placed last on the Absa Premiership log with five points from 12 matches.

Stars lost their unbeaten home record in midweek then they went down 1-0 to AmaZulu. They have failed to score in any of their last four league matches.

The Rustenburg team has the worst away record in the league this season, with just one point taken from a possible 18.

Dikwena are placed 13th on the Absa Premiership log with 12 points from as many matches.

In head-to-head stats, Cosmos and Stars have met in 12 league games since 2003/04.

Dikwena have five wins to their name, there has been six draws and Ezenkosi have racked up just the one victory.

Cosmos’ record at home against Stars reads: P6 W1 D3 L2 GF4 GA5.

The teams last met in the league in the 2009/10 season and Dikwena claimed four points from the sides’ two matches, drawing 0-0 away and winning 2-0 at home.
